Fees

My fee for full doula services is $600. In deciding what my fee would be, I have taken into consideration both the recommendations of my former clients and the fact that I am often gone for prenatals for four to five hours at a time, driving 1-2 hours for each meeting, and paying for child care during that time. Also, due to the unpredictability of birth, I could be at your birth for eight hours...or forty-eight hours. I have done both. If you would like to speak to former clients, I have a reference list I can pass on to you at your request.

If you still have questions about what doulas charge, www.gentlebirth.org gives a fairly good breakdown of a birth doula's fees.

My fee for Birth Plan Services alone is $60, which includes my coming to you, the three hour meeting, and my drawing up a birth plan to your specifications. This will ensure that those who are caring for you are all on the same page regarding your wishes, and also that you know not only what options you prefer, but what other options are out there should you need to be flexible.

My fee for the Comfort Measures/Labor Simulation Class is $150, which includes my coming to you, three hours spent working on comfort techniques (with explanations of where labor pain comes from and why these techniques work)  and labor practice. You may call me during your labor for phone support.

My fee for Placenta Encapsulation is $150 and this includes my washing, steaming, slicing, dehydrating, and grinding the placenta, then placing it into capsules which will yield approximately 100-200 total, depending on capsule size.

I accept cash, check, or Paypal.
